Over the Shoulder

For this video we filmed our own video, but this other group filmed over our clip and it got erased. Before we shot our own film, we made sure that it showed the person's shoulder and the person who was talking was at the rule of thirds. This video did follow the rule of thirds, and I think they did it so that people's eyes would switch from one person to another. I think the impression that these shots give is that the people are having a realistic, serious conversation because it keeps going back and forth. I don't think the dialogue was realistic because they talked in a monotone throughout the video. While editing the video, some challenges we faced was that one of the girls messed up a lot when she was doing her parts and we weren't sure which clips of hers to use. I think their tone was a serious tone because it didn't really have different emotions. Over the shoulder shots help show how a conversation would flow if it was happening in real life. Over the shoulder shots mostly help with a conversation in a scene because it keeps switching back and forth between the people taalking. It helps make the conversation a little more realistic.
