Insert Video

This is an example of an insert edit.  An insert edit places a clip in between the other clips. To do this, you hold the control button and drag the clip in between the other clips.  I decided to insert the 2^nd clip where I did because it went with the video.  The difference between an overlay and an insert edit is that an overlay goes over the clip, and an insert goes in between the clip.

You would use an overlay when you want to record over a certain part, while you’d use an insert edit when you want to put the clip after another clip. In this case the insert edit works better because it put the clip inside another clip which made it flow smoothly.
