Reflection on Holiday Greeting Video

After watching other people's videos I learned a lot about what we could've done to make the video better. First of all, we probably could've put some more humor and maybe filmed the video after school. I would've felt better and more relaxed if I could've filmed in front of less people. I think we did a good job in editing and the greenscreen, but I noticed some mistakes that I made. There's a part in the video where I stop for a second and try looking at what else I have to say. I think it would've been better if I didn't pause there. In the end credits, we put our citations, but we forgot to cite the photos of our backgrounds. Something I would want to change is the beginning title. It could've been better and have the words popping out with some effects in the words, much like the one Cassandra's video did. I also would've wanted to have just a bit more humor just to grab people's attention and to make the video more entertaining. In our group, I helped writing out the script and citing the few citations that we did get. My partner, Cesar, helped me to think of what to say in the script. He also helped me pick out the pictures and the music for the background. I helped Cesar by helping find information for his side of the project. After watching the other videos I found some things I would want to change in my video. I would've liked to use the cross dissolve effect to transition the clips. I would also probably like to have more of an up beat music playing in the back. Overall I think me and my partner did a great job editing this video with the little time that we spent trying to work on it.

Green Screen

A green screen is a green backround that you put when making a video. The green screen helps you change the background so the video could look like its taking place somewhere else. When you film with a green screen, you have to make sure there are no wrinkles or shadows in the green screen because it could cause some problems. When I used Adobe After Effects, editing the green screen was easier. This workshop helped me learn how to use a green screen.

Cyberbullying Video

In this our video, I was mostly proud of the titles, the music, and the interviews that we have.
Some comments that helped were to split up the interviews to not make them too long.
In the final video, we put other title clips to split up Ms. Lomanto's interview.
Some other changes that I would put if we had a couple of more days would be to break up the other interview clips.
If we could've done this differently, I would want to put some comical relief.
I learned from this video that it's pretty hard to film, edit, and upload a video.
Overall, I think that this video came out great.

Template Title

This is an example of a template title, which meansthe title is in the video as a caption. You might use this kind of title when you want to show someones's name.

Overlay Title

This is an example of an overlay title, which means the title is in a clip. You might use this kind of title when you want to show some caption.

Opening Title

This is an example of an opening title, which means the title is at the beginning of the video. You might use this kind of title when you want to show what the video is called.

Extracting

A simple cut in the timeline means to take out a certain clip from the timeline. When you cut, the other clips in the timeline, they go away from the video.
A ripple edit is when you delete a clip from a video and move the other videos over it. You do this by clicking on the clip you want to delete, and select "ripple delete" and the other clips move over. When you ripple delete, the other clips to the right of the deleted clip move in the spot where the deleted clip was at.
Lifting and extracting are two ways to cut clips at one time. To do this, go to the program panel and pick the part of the video you want to lift and click lift. Lifting is like deleting a part of the video clip, while extracting is like inserting the video, in terms of what happens to the other clips in the timeline.
This is an example of an extracting edit.  I decided to extract the two clips where I did because it flowed with the video and kept it clear.

Insert Video

This is an example of an insert edit.  An insert edit places a clip in between the other clips. To do this, you hold the control button and drag the clip in between the other clips.  I decided to insert the 2nd clip where I did because it went with the video.  The difference between an overlay and an insert edit is that an overlay goes over the clip, and an insert goes in between the clip.
You would use an overlay when you want to record over a certain part, while you’d use an insert edit when you want to put the clip after another clip. In this case the insert edit works better because it put the clip inside another clip which made it flow smoothly.

Overlays Video

This is an example of an overlay edit.  An overlay edit places a clip over another clip.   To do this, you put the clip on top of the other clip.  I decided to place the 2nd clip where I did because it went with the flow of the video.

Baler Pride Interviews

This video is another video that I edited. I think that my partner and I did pretty good job on this video. I learned a lot by editing this video. I learned how to critique video clips and put them all together in one video. it's still sort of hard for me to remember how to upload a video, but  its not a big problem for me anymore. Editing and posting videos is easier for me now. My partner and I took turns editing this video, and she helped me a lot. I learned a lot just by watching what she did. In this video, I saw some mistakes. First of all, the video gets quiet after the first clips. Secondly, some of the clips are cut off at the beginning. Lastly, the end credits are too small to see. Overall, I think this video is pretty good.

Intro-pro1

In this video I practiced editing a clip.

I think that this final product was pretty good. It was the first video that I've edited and I think it was pretty good. Since it was the first video I've edited, I needed a lot of help from my partner. I learned a lot from this, like how to edit a video and to post it up to the internet. A big problem that I faced was using the Adobe Premium Program. I have a good idea of how to use it, but I still need some help with it.
